Our team includes ministry specialists who work in the areas of diagnostics, leadership systems, administration, and supporting roles. They help implement the overall revitalization ministry of VitalChurch.
Leadership Team
Wade thompson | Executive director
As the Executive Director of VitalChurch UK, Wade brings the VitalChurch process to the UK. Wade has been married to Victoria since 2007, and they live in Glasgow, Scotland. Wade moved from the USA in 2004 to serve on a lead church plant team in the West End of Glasgow. With a heart for the local church, in 2010 Wade teamed up with VitalChurch Ministry, serving as an intentional interim pastor to facilitate revitalization within U.K. churches who are in seasons of transition or crisis. When not working, Wade can be found on an adventure with Victoria or on the banks of a Highland river in search of brown trout.
Alan Meldrum | ioporations manager
Alan is a motivational leader focused on employee engagement and customer satisfaction with nearly 40 years’ experience in business leadership and people management. Experienced in setting up businesses in 18 countries across the globe. However, Alan’s motivation comes from his Christian faith and he has also enjoyed being a youth leader and church leader in his local church. Highlights include being a founder member of Southside Christian Fellowship in Ayr, Scotland and being one of the leaders who helped to build a church in Razgrad, Bulgaria. In both his work and church Alan is an enthusiast and an encourager. Married to Alison since 1982, with two grown daughters and one fabulous granddaughter. Oh yes, can’t forget passionate mountain biker and road cyclist—not good but enthusiastic!
DIAGNOSTIC DIVISION
Robert Samsel | lEad Diagnostic analyst
Bob Samsel is passionate about helping churches cultivate healthy practices that honor God and contribute to the growth of his Kingdom. He has a BS in Business Administration, an MDiv, and a DMin in Family and Marriage Counseling. Since the 1990’s, he has pastored several New England churches. Bob has also worked as a family therapist. He has served with the VitalChurch team since 2014, working as an Intentional Interim Pastor and as a church diagnostic analyst. Bob has been married to Dawn since 1982. They have two grown children and three grandchildren. He enjoys traveling, gardening, and cooking.
